Home Consultation Competition

With our focus on sustainability, we were delighted to give four families the opportunity to tap into the expertise of our Ambassador Dermot Bannon who helped each winner to achieve their hopes and dreams with some amazing ideas.

Competition entries came in the form of poems, stories, videos, drawings and photos. Whether they were thinking of building, rebuilding or renovating their home, Dermot’s advice has got the winners started on their sustainability journey.

Schools’ Sustainability Competition

As part of our Ryan Tubridy Schools’ Sustainability Competition in December 2023, we were delighted to award Rampark National School, Jenkinstown, Co. Louth with a Christmas storytelling morning, €1,000 for their school plus one tonne of WillowWarm Briquettes for the winning teacher.

In their winning entry, the pupils demonstrated their concern for the environment and commitment to sustainability as a way of life through a visual presentation. They sketched out a plan of their school and identified areas for improvement, from their lunchtime gardening club where they collect and conserve rainwater and produce compost in their polytunnel for growing their own fruit and veggies. They also showed how they care for wildlife with their bird feeder and bug hotel.

Runner up schools were Ballymoney National School, West Cork and St Joseph’s National School, Dunderry, Meath.

WillowWarm is the perfect partner to lead students by example on the need to make necessary changes in our daily lives to help the environment.
