How are our products sustainable?
- 100% renewable Irish-grown forests and willow crop
Our products are crafted entirely from sustainably harvested Irish-grown forests and willow crop. Unlike traditional fossil fuels or imported firewood, we use parts of the forest that might otherwise be considered waste, in tandem with expanding willow as an economically viable energy crop in Ireland. With a lifespan of about 36 years, willow is generally harvested every two years and does not need to be ploughed, re-planted, or re-seeded annually
- Local and Renewable
Our products are 100% Irish, grown and produced in Meath, meaning we’re reducing transportation emissions and supporting Irish farmers and communities. The 2-year growth cycle of willow means it can be harvested repeatedly without damaging ecosystems or forests.
- Low Moisture, High Efficiency
With moisture content below 10%, our WillowWarm products provide a warmer and cleaner output than conventional wood or traditional fuel. This means less smoke, less ash, a longer burn, and more heat per log—making your fire more efficient and reducing indoor and outdoor air pollution.
- Minimal waste
Our manufacturing process is designed to minimise waste. There is very little ash left in your grate after using WillowWarm products, meaning daily cleaning is not required. Given its origins, the ash is also a safe, nutrient-rich addition to your garden soil, closing the loop and supporting sustainable gardening.
